About
DVC
"The theatre was created to tell people the truth about life and the social situation." -Stella Adler
DVC, or Dream/Visualize/Create, is a collection of students and graduates of Wilson Magnet High School’s drama club and local artists. 2024 marks the organization’s 24th year of bringing thought-provoking, challenging productions to audiences. In keeping with DVC’s mission to bring affordable, meaningful, socially-conscious theatre to Upstate NY, the company has performed shows such as Stop Kiss, The Freedom of the City, The Shadow Box, No Exit, Titus Andronicus (a co-production with Screen Plays), Rouslana and Jelena: A Modern-day Russian Revolution, and a double bill of The Trojan Women and Necessary Targets, as well as original projects including Overcoming Andromeda, Somewhere Under Wonderland, American Skin , JUNK, and At Swim, Two Boys (adapted from the novel by Jamie O'Neill).
We maintain operations through the generous support of our founders, supporters, and audiences. If you would like to become a donor in any capacity, please contact Mario at dvctheatre@gmail.com.
